message credit is calculated?

Raddad uses a unified message credit system (send/receive, message status updates) across the platform, regardless of the channel or the purpose of the message.
This gives you full flexibility to use the channel that best fits your business needs, whether for broadcast campaigns, notifications, customer support, or conversations.
Raddad does not add any markup or extra fees on channel provider costs. Channel charges (such as WhatsApp fees) are paid directly by you to the channel provider.
What consumes message credit?
Sending a message
Every time you send a message through the platform, 1 credit is deducted. Each message – whether sent by an employee, automation, or AI – counts as one credit.
Receiving a message
Each message you receive from a client also consumes 1 credit, to keep the usage balanced between sending and receiving.
Message status updates
Automatic events (such as message delivery confirmation or read notifications) and Webhooks, consume credits. Each invocation costs 1 credit.
Type Indicator
Type Indicator consumes 1 credit each time it is turned on, including:
- When an “AI is typing” shows that it is typing before sending a reply
- When an employee starts typing or clicks inside the message entry field in the shared inbox

What is a message credit?
A message credit is a unit of usage within the Raddad platform. Each interaction within the platform – sending, receiving, or automated messaging activity – consumes 1 credit.
Does receiving messages count against my credits?
Yes. Each incoming message from the client consumes 1 credit, just like sending messages.
Do AI chatbot replies consume credits?
Yes. Each reply sent by the AI assistant is considered a message and consumes 1 credit.
Do human agents' messages consume credits?
Yes. Messages sent by the support or sales team count as 1 credit per message.
Can I use message credits for WhatsApp broadcast campaigns?
Yes. Each message sent to a recipient counts as 1 credit per recipient.
Example: Sending a campaign to 500 customers consumes 500 credits.
The provider’s WhatsApp chat fees (meta) are billed separately and paid directly to the provider by the customer.
